The Council has been working on an effective new dispute resolution process that could support both residents and operators to resolve their complaints. It believes residents need an easier way to complain and have their complaints dealt with effectively and efficiently by a new independent service. Newly appointed Chair of the Retirement Villages’ Residents’ Council Carol Shepherd and Council member Denise Whitehead had a positive catchup with the Bay of Plenty MP Tom Rutherford today. Carol outlined her actions as the new Chair to Minister Rutherford who wishes her well in her new role.
